Agenda 2010
Posted on May 8, 7:09 pmThe agenda for 2010 has been adopted!
The agenda of the NPT Conference is the program for next years RevCom. Over the last years, it became more and more important. There had not been much hope that the states representatives would adopt it so quickly. Therefore it was a big surprise when on Wednesday, May 6th, after only three days of the beginning of the PrepCom, the news went through the UN-Headquarter’s corridors that this year the delegations seem to be much more willing to negotiate.
When we think of the NPT RevCon 2005, where it took about three weeks until the delegates accepted the agenda, then it becomes clear to us, how important it is that the agenda for 2010 is already agreed upon and the more important, substantial work can begin.
